Can Do Good! Planning has started
Goodwyn , Mills and Cawood launched the Can Do Good Social Design competition in 2009 in Montgomery AL. The program endeavors to reach out to the community to help in the efforts of local food banks and to teach high school students about architecture, engineering and social responsibility. AND it's fun – students hold food drives in their schools and practice building creative and intricate structures out of cans in preparation for the big competition held on a Saturday. Venues for the event include: The Shoppes at EastChase in Montgomery, The US Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, The Gulf Coast Exploreum Science Center in Mobile, The Riverchase Galleria in Birmingham and this year, we are bringing the event to Nashville and Atlanta. Together we have raised over 20,000 pounds of food for the hungry across the Southeast.
