Auburn Water Treatment Plant

GM&C was selected by the Water Works Board of the City of Auburn to upgrade their existing 8.0 MGD water treatment plant to 12.0 MGD. The work consisted of construction of a new flashmixer; installation of new flocculator equipment, tube settlers and sludge removal equipment; replacement of all filter media and underdrains; installation of an air scour backwash system and filter consoles; replacing filter control valves; installation of a new instrumentation and controls system and installing a new 24-inch and 30-inch ductile iron raw water transmission main from Lake Ogletree to the water treatment facility. Total project cost was approximately $4,400,000.00.
