Blount Cultural Park
Montgomery, Alabama

The Blount Cultural Park was developed in conjunction with the Alabama Shakespeare Festival and the late Wynton M. Blount, Jr. Consisting of several lakes, walking trails, an amphitheater, and gardens, the 250-acre park appeals to people of all ages and backgrounds. Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. designed the vehicular circulation system, lakes, spillways, and a small created wetland area, as well as the water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems. The Landscape Architecture Department of the firm designed the Shakespeare Garden, an amphitheater and display garden adjacent to the ASF Theater.

In addition to the Carolyn Blount Theater, home of the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the park includes the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts and the Wynfield, the former residence of the Blount family.
