Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. was retained to provide various engineering services to serve the Honda plant. The Transportation Engineering Division of GM&C worked with the Alabama Department of Transportation to provide engineering services for improvements to County Road 207 including: roadway relocation; widening from a two lane roadway to five lanes; a 287 foot five lane phased construction bridge; reclamation of water volume on a FERC controlled power generating reservoir; submitting plans and coordinating with Norfolk Southern Railroad for an elevated railroad crossing over an AmTrack rail system; a 400 foot four lane divided bridge; a 123 foot bridge over the backwaters of the Coosa River; service roads to either side of the main roadway; and highway lighting.
