Orange Beach Water Treatment Plant

The Orange Beach Water Authority selected Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. to provide design and construction management services of the water treatment plant. GM&C completed the WTP upgrade which expanded the plant capacity to 12 MGD. The facility treats raw groundwater from eight wells through a process of aeration flash mixing, flocculation and direct filtration using greensand filters. The water treatment plant also consists of two clearwells, a recirculation tank, and a fully automated SCADA system.
