Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. was retained by the American Red Cross to provide professional design services for the new 24,000 square foot office off of Carmichael Road. The facility includes administrative office space, a blood donor center, three large meeting rooms, service kitchen, and a detached warehouse, as well as an intricate electrical and mechanical system for disaster relief situations. Casework was designed to meet the Owner’s specific needs to better perform their task in the blood donor center, lab room, and blood services spaces. Extensive site work for parking and service docks, as well as a retention pond were designed. The beautiful building is situated prominently beside Interstate 85.
