Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. was selected by Alabama Real Estate Holdings to design the new classical-style luxury hotel that includes almost 200 rooms and suites with a full-service restaurant and bar, a fitness center with indoor pool, and an elaborate outdoor swimming pool nestled among rock outcroppings with a water slide and hot tub. The six-story hotel will provide each guest room with its very own private balcony overlooking the beautiful scenery that Wilson Lake has to offer.

The new River Heritage Hotel will link Florenceís existing Renaissance Tower, which has been completely renovated and incorporated into the hotel complex. Atop the 296-foot high Tower sits the new revolving restaurant, where visitors enjoy a panoramic view of the Tennessee River and the Shoals area. Convention delegates staying at the new hotel will have use of a covered pedestrian walkway which provides convenient access to the adjacent Florence Conference Center.
