The Riverview Hotel Renovations

Goodwyn, Mills and Cawood, Inc. was hired to provide professional architectural services for the renovation of the Riverview Hotel, a high rise building located in downtown Mobile. This facility, built nearly 30 years ago, was due for an updated interior and concept change. GM&C worked with the Owners to develop the new hotel concepts, including a Cyber Café, a new restaurant design, and updated millwork, lighting, color palates, and furniture throughout the first four floors of the facility, which total approximately 200,000 square feet. The areas of renovation include all components open to the public such as restaurants, conference center, meeting rooms, and guest amenities such as swimming pool, roof terrace, as well as employee/operational areas. Additionally, guest suites, located on the upper 20 floors of the facility, will be reconfigured and finishes will be upgraded.
