OakLeaf Surgical Hospital’s original facility was plagued with many code issues and was at risk of condemnation due to deficiencies identified by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services. GMC performed an emergency facility assessment and helped develop a mediation plan to allow the building to remain operational until it could be renovated or rebuilt. GMC concluded that a new facility would provide the best return on investment for the hospital. The 2-story, 108,000 sf new facility features 7 OR suites, 4 procedure rooms, and 30 private patient rooms. It is large enough to incorporate OakLeaf’s Would Care, Hyperbaric and Concussion Services that were previously located elsewhere.
