Email Montgomery, AL Download vCardAl joined the GMC team following 28 years of service in the U.S. Air Force, gaining valuable leadership and project management experience. In addition to operational flying, he managed three large military airports, commanded three civil engineering units and successfully executed more than $150 million worth of military construction projects in the U.S. and worldwide. An FAA-certified pilot with instrument and multi-engine ratings, he is an active member of the Aviation Council of Alabama, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, Air Force Association, American Association of Airport Executives and the Southern Museum of Flight Board. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Aviation Management from Middle Tennessee State University, Master of Arts in Military Arts and Science from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College and attended the U.S. Air Force Air War College at The Air University at Maxwell Air Force Base, in addition to graduate studies in National Security Affairs at Georgetown University.
