Courtney has extensive experience in stormwater management consulting, floodplain management program implementation, land use and natural resources planning, land development code creation, and community engagement for public sector clients throughout the Southeast. As the former owner and principal of Ecological Planning Group (EPG), acquired by GMC in 2018, Courtney has the leadership, management skills and expertise needed to lead in this capacity. Courtney’s background is unique in that she not only consults for public sector clients, but also has been employed as a public sector planning official. She was previously contracted by the City of Tybee Island to operate its Planning and Zoning Department, and prior to consulting, served as the Natural Resources Planner for the Chatham County—Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission, where she was responsible for implementation of the NPDES Phase I MS4 permit compliance programs for Chatham County and its seven municipal co-permittees.
