He has extensive knowledge in water quality monitoring and management, with emphasis on construction site erosion and sediment control. His experience encompasses every aspect of erosion and sediment control, including designing construction best management practices, writing spill prevention control and counters measure plans, inspection and certification of best management practices, as well as the installation and maintenance of structural and non-structural best management practices. Gary is proficient in navigating the permitting processes for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Environmental Protection Agency, South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control, Alabama Department of Environmental Management, Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation and Georgia Soil and Water Conservation Commission. He has managed and participated in numerous NEPA studies for the Federal Aviation Administration, Federal Highway Administration, Alabama Department of Transportation, U.S. Department of Agriculture, EPA, Land and Water Conservation Fund State Assistance Program and U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. His experience also includes Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and stream and wetland delineation, permitting, restoration and mitigation. In addition to being a Certified Professional in Erosion and Sediment Control, Gary is a GSWCC Level II Certified Design Professional, TNEPSC Level 2 Certified and a LEED Green Associate. He graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Forestry.
