Patchwork Farms Master Plan
Vestavia Hills, Alabama
Size: 86 acres
In 2007, the City of Vestavia Hills purchased the 87-acre Patchwork Farms property, originally a horse farm, for the development of a new community. Input from various stakeholders during a December 2013 charrette led to an overall consensus to construct a “village” concept that encourages mixed-use design for retail matching the market demand of the area, and encourages an active lifestyle through the addition of a LifeTime Fitness Center, outdoor athletic fields and a walking trail.
