Auburn University Watson Field House
Auburn, Alabama
Size: 32,550 sf
Auburn University’s Athletics Department boasts some of the top practice facilities in the nation, including the John H. Watson Fieldhouse. The pre-engineered, structural steel, concrete and brick building was renovated to accommodate strength and conditioning, physical therapy, rehabilitation and indoor turf-training for Auburn University Olympic sports teams. Thirty training stations and a nutrition area were incorporated into the design, in addition to the 40-yard artificial turf field, which provides the Tigers’ championship football team a place to practice during inclement weather. Other renovations included upgrades to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, installation of security systems, new bathrooms, office space additions and general improvements as needed.
