GMC is pleased to announce Ryan Pearce, PE, as the firm’s new Vice President of Aviation. Pearce has been an engineering project manager with GMC for more than a decade.

He succeeds retired U.S. Air Force Col. Al Allenback, who announced he would be cutting back on his responsibilities earlier this year. Allenback will remain involved with the firm in more of a business development role.

“Ryan has been an integral part of the Aviation Department’s growth, and we are confident in his ability to lead in this new capacity,” GMC’s Executive Vice President of Transportation Bobby Kemp said.

As Vice President of Aviation, Pearce will lead the firm’s full-service aviation planning and engineering group, which plans, designs and manages airport projects for clients throughout the Southeast.

Throughout his more than 14 years of experience, he has worked on airport projects of all sizes from start to finish for a wide array of clients. He has proven himself proficient in managing not only projects, but also large, multidisciplined teams, which will be highly valuable in this new position.

Pearce graduated from Auburn University with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and South Carolina.
