Rhonda Davis and Ed DiTommaso promoted to new leadership roles

We are pleased to announce the recent promotions of Rhonda Davis and Ed DiTommaso to well-deserved leadership roles within the firm.

Rhonda Davis, PE, has been promoted to Vice President of Transportation. In this role, she will lead all of GMC’s transportation efforts throughout the state of Georgia, in addition to continuing in her role as Augusta office leader. Rhonda joined GMC as a transportation engineer and client manager in 2019 and was quickly tapped to lead the Augusta office in 2020. Under her leadership, the Augusta team and GMC’s impact in the region has continued to grow.

Rhonda previously worked for the Georgia Department of Transportation for more than 10 years, in addition to working as a consultant in the private sector for six years prior. Her career has primarily been focused within the transportation industry, serving as the GDOT State Aid Administrator for what is now the Office of Local Grants, in addition to working as a design engineer in the Office of Urban Design. Rhonda is a registered professional engineer in Georgia and graduated from Georgia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

Ed DiTommaso, AICP, GISP, has been promoted to Vice President of Environmental’ s Eastern Region and will remain the Savannah office leader. As Vice President of Environmental, he is responsible for strategic planning and direction throughout Georgia and South Carolina, working in partnership with the Environmental department heads in his region.

Ed joined GMC in 2018 upon the acquisition of Ecological Planning Group (EPG), where he was an owner and principal. He has more than 20 years of planning and GIS experience working with clients throughout the Southeast.Prior to EPG, Ed worked for various public entities, including New York State Electric and Gas (NYSEG), Savannah Area GIS (SAGIS), Chatham County-Savannah Metropolitan Planning Commission and the City of Savannah. This experience in both the public and private sectors, coupled with his technical capabilities and planning proficiency, allow him to successfully engage and manage a range of projects and to effectively communicate with various audiences.
