GMC worked as the contracted GIS Manager for the City of Garden City. In addition to general database maintenance and updates, GMC also handled numerous special projects for the city.
GMC also assisted with the development of an Urban Redevelopment Plan (URP) to address blighted and under-utilized property throughout the city. The URP was adopted by the City Council and has been used as the basis for obtaining grants to address housing needs in the identified target areas.
GMC developed a mobile GIS application that was used to complete a condition assessment of single-family housing in the City of Garden City. GMC developed GIS websites and mobile applications that Garden City used to manage and maintain various infrastructure elements. The city is currently using these tools to complete inspections and dry weather screening for NPDES stormwater compliance.
