About GMC Daphne

GMC's Daphne office was founded in 2019 through an acquisition. Since then, the team has continued to grow and thrive on the Gulf Coast.

In early 2025, GMC added Coastal Engineering to its disciplines and many of those employees reside in Daphne. The office has worked on notable projects such as the Dauphin Island East End Beach & Dune Restoration, D'Olive Stream Restoration and the upcoming Mobile Arena.

The City is a fast-growing community, and GMC is proud to be a part of its continuing progress. The office is located in a prime location in Olde Towne Daphne, just off the main Mardi Gras parade route. Team members enjoy venturing around the city and partaking in the many local events.

Dauphin Island is a cherished part of Alabama’s coastline, the 14-mile-long barrier island south of Mobile is home to beautiful beaches and a wide variety of species that inhabit the sky, sea and sand. However, erosion, hurricanes and the passage of time have threatened these critical environments.
The D’Olive Stream Restoration reach extends from Interstate 10 to the downstream terminus at Highway 90 in Daphne, Alabama. With an estimated 1,700 tons of sediment per year eroding from the streambanks, the purpose of this project was to address the instability of the creek and reduce sediment loading.
The Hoover Met Complex combines a large-volume, multi-purpose, indoor facility and 120 acres of outdoor facilities to create a flexible complex that makes Hoover a premier destination for amateur sports.
