A new chapter of timeless living, Hawthorne, is coming to East Montgomery. A groundbreaking was recently held for the Lowder New Homes community.

Located off Atlanta Highway next to the Arrowhead neighborhood, Hawthorne will feature approximately 250 homes with modern floor plans as well as walking trails and high-end townhomes. The new neighborhood is located in the heart of East Montgomery, near the best shopping and dining around. The homes will range from 1,500 to 2,800 square feet and homebuyers will be able to choose from a variety of floor plans and layouts, whether starting a new family, downsizing or anywhere in between.

The name Hawthorne has long represented protection, growth and connection to nature, perfectly reflecting the thoughtful design, strong sense of community and natural surroundings that define life at Hawthorne.

In addition to serving as the lead engineer on the project, GMC is providing environmental, surveying and landscape architecture services for the development. Lowder also worked with BSB Design to design the home floor plans, with Site Pros providing site construction services.

GMC has a long history of working with Lowder New Homes and the team also worked together on Pike Road’s newest neighborhood, Kinsley.

Construction on Hawthorne has already begun and approximately 70 homes will be move-in ready in early 2026.
