The ground has officially been broken on the highly anticipated Gateway to Innovation (G2i), Career and Technical Education (CTE) building. The facility, set to be completed in January 2027, will serve as a vibrant hub for students across Pickens County, grades 3 through 12.

The Gateway to Innovation facility will complement the existing Pickens County Career and Technical Education facilities by expanding opportunities for students to participate in high-quality CTE programs. In addition to student programs, the new facility will also support SDPC employees by providing an option for affordable on-site childcare. Additionally, evenings will feature expanded workforce development opportunities for adults through community partnerships with local businesses and institutions.

GMC is excited to be providing architecture, interior design and civil engineering services on the project, with Triangle Construction Company as the general contractor. Watch the video to hear more about this exciting project.
