GMC Vice President of Corporate Communications Abby Basinger has been honored as one of CentrAL Inc!’s 40 Under 40 for 2023.

Since joining GMC in 2013, Abby has become an imperative leader to the firm. In her role as Vice President of Corporate Communications, she is responsible for developing and managing public relations tasks and strategies, employee communications, media relations, strategic planning and more. Her team’s primary focus is promoting the firm’s mission of “building communities” through internal and external storytelling and comprehensive communication strategies.

Abby holds GMC’s mission close, as she is able to give back to her communities through involvement in many organizations including serving as one of the Cancer Wellness Foundation of Central Alabama’s 2023 Women in Blue, volunteering as a loaned executive for the River Region United Way and serving on the Mayor’s Young Professionals Council. She is also a graduate of Leadership Montgomery Torchbearers Class XIII and severs on the board for the Alabama Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America.

Abby graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from Auburn University.
