GMC assisted the City of Woodruff, South Carolina with upgrades to their infrastructure to provide additional water service to support growth and BMW’s new battery plant.

The once small city of Woodruff has exploded in growth recently. BMW invested in the city with their BMW Woodruff Plant which involves an estimated $700M in construction and will provide 300 new jobs when it comes online in 2025. With the battery plant and thousands of homes being built, the city needed to expand its utilities. GMC engineers came alongside Woodruff to guide them in making the best decision for their wastewater treatment facility. By using preexisting facilities and selecting the best treatment methods for the residents, the city can scale for the future and continue to support growth.
