GMC has provided planning, design, and construction phase services for a variety of projects for Gallatin County. The first phase of the project for the new airport consisted of the excavation of over two million cubic yards of material and the construction of a one-mile access road from Interstate 71. GMC provided construction phase services.
The second phase included concrete paving of the 5,500 foot runway, a partial parallel taxiway, a portion of the apron and asphalt paving of the access road. GMC designed and took bids for Phase II construction.
GMC is currently providing services for an airfield lighting system, a terminal building, a fuel farm, hangar facilities, and perimeter security fencing.
