Goodwyn Mills Cawood relocates Auburn office to AuburnBank Center

March 13, 2024 · Announcements

Local architecture and engineering firm Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) is moving to a new home in the heart of Auburn. The office is in the new AuburnBank Center, designed by GMC, on the corner of North Gay Street and East Magnolia Avenue.

“Moving into a new office, especially one our team had the opportunity to design, is exciting as it is, but to be located in the heart of downtown Auburn is truly special,” GMC CEO Jeffrey Brewer said. “This new office will provide us with more space to grow locally, as well as a more attractive and creative environment to recruit and retain top talent.”

The 91,000-square-foot AuburnBank Center is one of the latest additions to downtown. The building was completed by GMC in 2022 and serves as the bank’s headquarters with additional offices for various tenants. The AuburnBank Center was designed with the intent to appear as if it has been there for generations, to mark the permanence of AuburnBank in the community and to match the style of existing buildings in downtown Auburn. The building is next to many retail shops and restaurants.

GMC Auburn is excited to move into the new space and continue to build deep relationships in the community as well as recruit top talent from the university.

GMC established an Auburn/Opelika office in 2008, following years of work in the area. In addition to the AuburnBank Center, GMC has been part of several notable local projects, recently including the Auburn University Woltosz Football Performance Center, Auburn University women’s basketball locker room renovations, Auburn Research Park Research and Innovation Center, Auburn Medical Pavilion, City of Auburn Environmental Services and Public Works Complex, GE Aviation Auburn manufacturing facility and SiO2 Materials Science production facility expansion, among others. The team is working on the Auburn STEM and Agriculture Sciences Complex, which will be completed in 2026.

GMC will host an official ribbon cutting for the new space on April 23 at 4 p.m. and a celebration with drinks and bites immediately after. The new office address is 100 North Gay Street, Suite 300, Auburn, AL 36830.
