Goodwyn Mills Cawood’s Charlotte office relocates for future growth

March 25, 2024 · Announcements

Local architecture and engineering firm Goodwyn Mills Cawood (GMC) has a new home in Charlotte. The team moved from its former location to a larger office space just across the street on Park Road to accommodate future growth.

“We’re thrilled about transitioning into a fresh workspace in Charlotte that enables us to grow our team and foster a collaborative environment, enhancing our ability to attract top talent. This relocation solidifies our commitment to serving our clients not only in Charlotte but also across North Carolina and beyond,” GMC Vice President of North Carolina Corbin Jenkins, PE, said.

The new office features open working space, which offers opportunities for enhanced collaboration and growth in a market with immense potential. The relocation will allow for GMC’s continued development in Charlotte as the team works to further its mission of ‘building communities that thrive’ throughout the region.

GMC launched its Charlotte office in 2022 as an extension of the firm’s established operations in South Carolina, which includes offices in Greenville, Columbia and Charleston. As the architecture and engineering firm continues to increase its impact across the Carolinas, this move in Charlotte is a natural progression to support strategic growth.

Currently, GMC’s Carolinas team is working on several notable projects, including Clemson University Littlejohn Coliseum and Swann Pavilion renovations, Grand Strand Water and Sewer Authority’s Bull Creek Water Treatment Plant, Beaufort Jasper Water and Sewer Authority Purrysburg Water Treatment Plant (WTP) expansion, VA Outpatient Clinic in Jackson, N.C., Richland School District 2 Pontiac Elementary and Rice Creek Elementary Schools, Pickens Regional Joint Water System (PRJWS) Lake Keowee Water Treatment Plant and Intake, and more. Over the years, the team has worked on several projects in North Carolina including water treatment plant improvements for Lincoln County; the GE Aviation Manufacturing Facility in Asheville; Kimberly Hampton Primary School at Fort Bragg; and Triangle Ambulatory Surgery Center in Raleigh, among others.

The new GMC Charlotte office address is 4601 Park Road, Suite 520, Charlotte, N.C. 28209.
