The FAA uses the results of this analysis to determine whether the presence of wildlife hazards will require preparation of a Wildlife Hazard Management Plan.

The scope included an analysis of the events/circumstances that prompted the assessment as well as the identification of the wildlife species observed and their numbers, locations, local movements and daily/seasonal occurrence.
Also included in the scope was the identification and location of features on and near the airport that attract wildlife, a description of wildlife hazards to aircraft operations and then subsequent recommended actions for reducing identified wildlife hazards to aircrafts.
